Shark Attack at Lake Longhorn
The Sharks hold two open-water races a year at Lake Longhorn in League City. Races are available for USA Swimming, USMS, and USAT athletes.

- This race is hosted by Coach Chris's tri team - NextGen Triathlon Club - and is sanctioned by USAT and USMS. It's perfect for athletes looking for some race training....in a race, swimmers intereseted in a great open water swim, and newbies ready to give open water swimming a try. It's a safe swim, in a clean, calm lake.
- Available distances: 0.6 mi, 1.2 mi, 2.4 mi, or any combination for one $55 entry fee
- Shark Attack is open to USA Triathlon, USMS, and open water athletes.
- Those without USAT, USMS, or USA Swimming memberships can still race - a one-day USAT membership can be purchased during the registration process.
- Come out for music, fun....and buttermilk pancakes and smashburgers cooked to order!

- 6:30 am - Check-in
- 7:00 am - Warm-up opens
- 7:30 am - 0.6 mi
- 8:00 am - 1.2 mi (swimmers not starting the 2nd loop prior to 8:30 will be disqualified)
- 9:30 am - 2.4 mi (swimmers not starting the 4th loop prior to 11:00 will be disqualified)
- The price increases on Oct 7th, but registration is open until Oct 20th.

- This race is hosted by the Sharks Swim Club and is sanctioned through USA Swimming.
- This race is open to current USA Swimming members. Sharks swimmers in the Exploratory Advance - Sr Perf group are invited to attend.
